Light & Heavy Engineering Industry — requirement

EPU Floorings

Epoxy-polyurethane hybrid combining epoxy hardness with PU flexibility for demanding production floors.

BACK TO LIGHT & HEAVY ENGINEERING INDUSTRY

Overview

Epoxy Polyurethane Hybrid Flooring, also known as EPU flooring, combines selected properties of epoxy and polyurethane technologies. The system is designed to provide the adhesion and surface performance associated with epoxy along with improved flexibility and toughness.

The balanced epoxy–amine chemistry and polyurethane characteristics allow the flooring system to accommodate demanding service conditions while maintaining durability and surface protection.

Why this suits Light & Heavy Engineering Industry: Engineering workshops subject floors to dropped tools, dragged steel, machine vibration and heavy point loading. We build up thick-section screeds and hardened concrete toppings that absorb impact and abrasion, then finish them with chemical-resistant coatings that hold up to cutting fluids, oils and solvents.

Key Features

  • Combines the properties of epoxy and polyurethane.
  • Provides excellent adhesion to concrete.
  • Offers improved flexibility compared with conventional rigid epoxy systems.
  • Provides good abrasion and wear resistance.
  • Offers resistance to mechanical traffic.
  • Provides a durable and attractive finish.
  • Suitable for areas exposed to temperature and mechanical variations.
  • Provides a balance of toughness and flexibility.
